Hard to explain, but I am trying to achieve a traditional 2d animation look and want to have the pink grain shader shown in the pic copy the shape path of the object. And be able to move it, essentially creating Shadows and Highlights.

I am utilizing Grease Pencil and Geometry Nodes, allowing to create a mesh from the GP objects with no Z scale, so they are essential planes. Is this even possible? I've tried a Geometry node in the Shader Editor to try and find the Object shape and that, but I believe I am running into some trouble since it doesn't have a Z value (on purpose, to keep them as planes).

Hope this make sense.photo of Blender UI with shapes discussed

$\begingroup$ Sorry, but I do not understand what "copy the shape path of the object" means. $\endgroup$ Commented Dec 15 at 10:44
