A vertex (plural vertices) is the point where two or more edges intersect. Used to manipulate the shape of a mesh in Edit mode.

Is there a way to make a five sided bolt out of a 32 sided disk opening?
Aiming for quads this is not perfect as there is a triangle touching the bottom pentagram face but it's probably good enough :)
