Hi when im in pose mode I rotate my arm you know to go up and down and my hips and ribs area would expand looking very awful i want it so that my body stays still if my hands are rotating im talking about blender not irl I believe the problem is caused from weights however i could be wrong you can notice from this picture that the sides of the character come out his ribs/hips area plz help r

You need to go into weight painting mode (click your model first, not the armature), shift right click on your arms/hands, and use the subtraction brush to remove the color from the areas you don't want to move.

  • $\begingroup$ your onto something and i believe your the only one who can help me bc your the only one who sent a messege. I clicked on the body - went into weight paint mode - Shift Right clicked the arm and i get a weight paint sample for like the right arm (I shift right clicked the left arm not the right) And it shows weight samples for the right arm i dont see weight subtraction tool what do i do? $\endgroup$ Commented Dec 10, 2020 at 18:10

Go to weight paint mode and click on your brush next to "Draw".

select your subtract Brush and remove the weight samples that are one the bones you don't want influences. If for whatever reason they're missing. Go to File > Defaults > Load Factory Settings.
