Did I understand the answer in this post correctly? It says that due to the fact that volumetric lighting is not implemented yet, creating a transparent laser focus with visible molecular spheres in it is not possible?

Right now I'm trying to see a sphere in a red "focus" and do not get the result I would like to have.
