I was installing my blender addon when I get an error:

AttributeError: '_RestrictContext' object has no attribute 'view_layer'

My code probably has nothing to do with but here it is

    $\begingroup$ Addons are first loaded in a restricted Context where no view_layer exists (line 7 tries to access it with no success). You should move that line to somewhere where the context exists (for example when the operator executes). $\endgroup$

The solution was as @Secrop has said:

Addons are first loaded in a restricted Context where no view_layer exists (line 7 tries to access it with no success). You should move that line to somewhere where the context exists (for example when the operator executes)
