Apr 24, 2018 at 17:13 comment added prestokeys Yes, but those supports are flimsy, and they cannot be horizontal for example.
Apr 24, 2018 at 17:11 comment added Rich Sedman I’m no 3D printing expert but I thought the supportingg structures needed to fit strict requirements - otherwise you print will collapse. I think most 3d print software can generate the required additional structures for you (but I might be wrong - as I said, I’m no expert).

Apr 24, 2018 at 16:27 comment added prestokeys @ Lemon Yes but the "supports" must be permanent, not just temporary supports, I mentioned using a vertical plane above.

Apr 24, 2018 at 16:25 comment added lemon So what you mean is how to connect the cylinder so that it can be printed? (with some kind of armature maintaining it for printing purpose)

Apr 24, 2018 at 16:03 comment added prestokeys It's just a cylinder floating in the middle of a hemisphere.
Apr 24, 2018 at 12:16 comment added Rich Sedman Please add images to illustrate your question - you’re much more likely to get a useful answer - rather than relying on someone downloading and opening your .blend file.
