I'm not sure what will be easier for me to take on.....making a 2d image as 3d as I can, or reducing the polycount on existing 3d models (the Steam game I'm using cannot take large polycount models)....thanks R00t | |
May 31, 2016 at 21:58 | comment | added | user2816 | @Arcctingman Are you going to animate it? you can import an image as a plane and give it some thickness, you can even cast realistic shadows if the picture have transparency. Instead of reducing the poly count you could just learn how to retopologize the high poly mesh, especially if you will texture/rig and animate it later. | |
