Apr 19, 2018 at 10:55 comment added L.Trabacchin i can really say i'm on a good track now, i've removed the portals from the lamps because i wanted them to be turned off, but i still got some weird noise where the lamps touches the ceiling, maybe because it's single faced and outside there is a super bright environment, i'll try to give the walls some thickness as i started doing and then removed in my lots of attempts to get less noise, then if that won't work i'll move them half millimiter from the surface as they are in reality. this is my flat so i got references :P

Apr 19, 2018 at 9:29 comment added L.Trabacchin I can confirm denoise was giving that weird effect that can be seen in #Edit2 picture around the lamp frames
Apr 19, 2018 at 9:04 comment added L.Trabacchin @cegaton damn ambient occlusion was causing spikes of fireflies where two surfaces met... I think denoise is giving me some other problems...
Apr 19, 2018 at 8:14 comment added L.Trabacchin @Brenticus i've tried to render the scene with a material that i've called lightstudy or something light that, but i tought it was noisy because of not so much renderpasses
Apr 19, 2018 at 8:06 comment added L.Trabacchin Ok, i'll give this a render at 2k, and provide feedback!
Apr 19, 2018 at 4:27 comment added Brenticus Great points to add. I would definitely suggest going through all the different materials and settings now that the main source of noise has been dealt with. Up until this point I'm guessing the small changes weren't even noticeable due to the overwhelming amount of noise. I gave this scene a quick test render at 500 samples, and it was still fairly noisy, but with optimizations I think it is feasible to get a relatively noise free result at around 500-1000 samples (but for a final render I would still do a few thousand).
