**SVG**

If I do changes on SVG file placed in `~/blender-build/blender/release/datafiles`, save it and run `make icons` command, it ends with

`FileNotFoundError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: 'blender': 'blender'
make: *** [icons] Error 1`

[Wiki][1] has a note which I don't understand: "*... both inkscape and blender must be in the system PATH for this command to execute properly.*"

 - What is that system "**PATH**"?

 - How can I recognise I have setup them right?

---

**PATH**

What I found until now - Unix use a list of "PATH".
By default it looks like this

`echo $PATH
/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin`

My looks like this

`echo $PATH
/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/3.6/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/opt/X11/bin`

I tried to add PATH to blender with

`export PATH=$PATH:/Applications/Blender/blender.app/Contents/MacOS`

but on echo it seems it's not added on the list.
I understood the goal is to be able execute app simply by typing `blender` or `inkscape` via command line. It can be done also by creating alias for blender

`echo "alias blender=/Applications/Blender/blender.app/Contents/MacOS/blender" >> ~/.profile`

but it didn't help either. Simply, I don't know if this is even right direction to solve the issue with new icons.

**BUILD**

Probably good to mention I'm not able to build blender just by simple command

`cd ~/blender-build/blender
make`

as recommended on [wiki][2]. It results with

`Configuring Blender in "/Users/filip/blender-build/build_darwin" ...
/bin/sh: cmake: command not found
make: *** [all] Error 127`

so probably these errors relates somehow?
