I have set up a lengthy animation in the NetRender render farm. After launching the network job, in the meanwhile, on the Client I worked on other stuff. After a week of netrender work, the job finally finished and I wanted to read in the results to get the movie.
I opened the initial blender file, clicked on the "Get Animation" button, but instead of just fetching the results it queued another copy of the job.
On the Master node I get a temporary folder with thousands of big xsr
files, that in theory should contain all the rendered data. The question is: how to convert those files to png?
The usual tools such as convert
doesn't work, they produce a black image.
What works is opening a single file in the UV/Image Editor
in Blender. But that is only one image at a time. I have thousands images to work and I would prefer a way that is automatic.
