I am shaping this watch as a training. I did materials for needles and branchs but i'm stuck for the core watch's material.

I'd like to reflect the light like this :

I use Blender Render for now. If you can help me, it would be nice ^^

$\begingroup$ Please show images of what you have tried so far and specify the render engine you are using. $\endgroup$ – cegaton Jul 31 '17 at 22:05

  • $\begingroup$ Nodes is your friend here. Look up some tutorials on metal materials, they produce some very realistic results. $\endgroup$ – FreemoX Jul 31 '17 at 22:43

$\begingroup$ Metal is hard to do in Blender Render... I think cycles will make things a lot easier for you $\endgroup$ – HappyBlenderUser Aug 1 '17 at 1:08

$\begingroup$ Could you edit this and explain what you did so others too can learn how you made your scratches? As this answer is now it neither answers your question nor helps anyone else. $\endgroup$ – David Aug 1 '17 at 13:08
  • $\begingroup$ @Darkknife28 to make this a useful answer please add a detailed explanation of what you did. Think of it this way: you can save someone else that has the same question from having a hard night if you share your experience. Help others the same way you would expect to be helped. $\endgroup$ – cegaton Aug 1 '17 at 13:22
