I need to set up scenes directly in the VSE as a scene Strip. It is possible to visualise the ideas created with Grease Pencil and simple animations of 3-4 planes. That gives me 1 or 2 Fps in the the backdrop of the VSE.

The planes are white. That's it, nothing fancy but the memory go near 700 mb usage.

For one scene strip that shows scene 1 with 3 planes, 30 seconds long and the quadcore Cpu is at 100 % fullpower, blender is nearly a colapsing and ultra slow.

How can I use the scene strips of blender VSE and what is happening in Blender that makes it so laggy?

  • $\begingroup$ For the scene strip, are you using the OpenGL Preview render? That should speed it up quite a bit. (Although that is the default option already) $\endgroup$ – Mike Pan Feb 23 '15 at 19:07

  • $\begingroup$ A grey Screen I mean sry ,so next I set the Open GL option off and that bring's the Standard camera 3D view in the vSE scenestrip back so i can see the Scene. In the VSE but only with 1 frame/sec . $\endgroup$ – Sebbbo Feb 23 '15 at 20:55
