Alright, I have an object that I duplicated then I added a displacement modifier to both. Initially I connected the same image texture to both but later I decided that I want different textures on the objects. So I on the displace modifier of the second object I added a new texture gave it a new name and changed the image to a different image. The problem is that the displacement on the other object with the different texture also changed. No matter which object I select, which texture I change or how many new textures I create. Both objects have the same texture.

When I tried to look for it online all I found was about people that had the same material applied to both, but I am using a modifier and I did create different "texture-(slots/nodes/ or whatever they are)" for my different images.

I wish I could see the textures in the node editor, but I haven't found a way to do that either, since the modifier textures are separate from the material texture nodes as far as I know.

Here is an example file:

What can I do to figure this out and separate them?
