I am working with Amazon AWS avatars and I have been successful in importing/exporting them in blender fo use in my web project, however I've only worked with the female so far. On delving into the male avatar I have come across a problem when importing the glb file for the gestures.

On the female gesture.glb (bottom picture) file it imports with an armature. When taken back out again it works perfectly. Notice on the picture the animations are consolidated into separate animations.

On the male gesture.glb (top picture) file it imports without an armature. When taken back out again it does not work, instead it deforms the avatar. Notice on the picture all the bones seem to have their own animation (or appear to have).

Please see the image with both the male and female gestures. This might be an easy answer for a pro but I am fairly new to all this and I have struggled to find an answer elsewhere. Any help would be much appreciated :) enter image description here

  • $\begingroup$ Whether nodes get imported as bones or as empties depends on the skins in the glTF file. I presume your male gesture.glb doesn't have any. $\endgroup$
