I don't know if this is a bug or a pilot error, but Eevee volumetric lighting seems to stop working after a while.

In the attached test file, I started off by testing off by starting a test file with the default cube, principled volume shader and a spot lamp and everything looked as I would expect and as per this tutorial here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=daCTRzzmpyk

I imported an OpenVDB cloud and started playing around with the lighting using point lamps, and everything looked just as I would expect as well. I then wanted to make a cloud scene, and created a hair emitter to distrbute the clouds. The light was working, but the sun lit the entirety of the clouds, and there was no shadowing. I experimented trying to get the shadows back and now no matter the intensity of the lamps I cannot get the volumetrics to reflect light. they just render as black.

Copying the emitter and clouds and pasting them into a fresh project brings back the volumetric shadows. Has no one else had problems with this?

I've had a fair bit of problems with Eevee volumetrics....is there something I am missing or is this a bug?
