I'm trying to do game visualization for my mobile game in blender. There is a path made by cubes and there is player object an UV Sphere basic idea is that when the sphere passes trough a cube surface of the cube that facing the sphere changes color and starts emitting light and here is my problem I have a light emitting material animated from shader nodes it changes its translucency and this of course changes the material and all the objects that have the material but I want to make it gradual so that each cube starts emitting light right after the object passes it. I know I can duplicate and create copies of the same material for each cube adjust the keyframes accordingly and assign it but I have over 40 cubes in the scene and I feel like there must be an easier way that I don't have to create 40+ of the same material just for changing the animation for each. Any suggestions?
