I am super new to Blender and I am looking for a solution to get a certain mapping from the texture of the projector to the alpha channel of my output image.

In my Blender scene, there is a camera, a point light source( a projector) where I project certain patterns on a collection of objects in my scene. The camera capture the image and output a RGBA file. I would like to write in the Alpha channel not the intensity value that the camera see, but the actual corresponding intensity that is in the projection texture. I am wondering if it is possible to do something like this at all? And should I do a ray tracing originated from the projector to the object?

I would like to achieve this in Python, therefore some Python examples would be really helpful!! Thanks a lot!!
