I have a project generated by blender version 2.81 (exported with the glft exporter) which I am trying to import into 2.83.

When importing the exported gltf file, the geometry is in the wrong place and each animation that is assigned to an object runs according to an unknown origin even though the origin is still is in correct place.

Are there any problems loading a project that generated by 2.81 into 2.83?

Below link contain these files:

  • idle.blend ==> project that are generated in 2.81
  • idle.glb ==> gltf exported file from above project in 2.83
  • gltfimported.blend ==> 2.83 project that loaded idle.glb and has wrong animation rotation.

    $\begingroup$ Opening the GLB in some online viewers (threejs and babylonjs) I see a similar result to Blender 2.83 import. It looks to me like the GLB file exported by 2.81 was incorrect. If exporting again from 2.83 is still giving incorrect results in these viewers and on import, consider filing a bug on github.com/KhronosGroup/glTF-Blender-IO. $\endgroup$ – Don McCurdy Jul 22 '20 at 3:58
