This is the picture without the material enter image description here

After applying the material enter image description here

Though I have changed both the viewport colour and the base colour, the colour of the monkey does not change. It changes only if I disable Use node.enter image description here

Can somebody please say why it does not work in Use Nodes

This is the shader editor of the bodyenter image description here

Also, the body becomes sort of transparent(some parts can be seen) when moved in material or render mode. enter image description here

  • $\begingroup$ What is a node tree $\endgroup$ – Vishrudh Jul 16 at 3:22
  • $\begingroup$ It's the structure of the functions that built your shader in a form of a flow chart. See docs.blender.org/manual/en/2.83/editors/shader_editor.html for more info. $\endgroup$ – Carlo Jul 16 at 21:44

  • $\begingroup$ This is not the same material i.stack.imgur.com/LAvBd.png. On the right we can't see the purple in the base color field. $\endgroup$ – Carlo Jul 17 at 10:43
