As the title says, I need to make an animation where a soldier on white robes gets blood splattered all over himself. The blood needs to be as realistic as possible and the robes need to get stained and even (if possible) absorb a bit of the blood (like when a drop of water falls on some fabric and the wet area expands a little bit). I am pretty new to Blender, so all I know is that it will involve cloth and fluid simulation; I have no idea on how to make the stains and the absorption part. The blood (fluid) itself needs to stick to the robes a bit as well. I can tweak the internal friction and the viscosity, but the cloth itself can't be slippery either (or else the blood hits the cloth and falls/bounces back like mercury).
