Screen capture of what's happening.

I can't select anything except a weird shape on the right side, inside that house. If I move the select box across the screen, that shape is the only thing that gets selected.

If I try to click on any other object, nothing happens. If I switch from Material Preview Mode to Solid Mode, everything disappears except that shape, as you can see in the video. If I select the mesh I want from the scene collection on the top-right corner, nothing happens.

Please help, I don't know what to do and I need to work on my project.

  • $\begingroup$ Not sure what's happening. What happens when you press A? Can you select everything then? In that case you could Ctrl C copy everything and Ctrl V paste it in another running Blender or in another file. If you can't select anything, you could also try to Append the objects from this file after starting new file (Header > File > Append...) $\endgroup$ – Fjoersteller Jul 7 at 23:01

My reputation is not high enough to leave a comment, so I have to put my suggestion here in the answers. I will remove this if it doesn't solve your problem, so please let me know. Also, it would be helpful if you could share your blend file.

A few things that have helped me in the past:

  1. try unchecking and checking the collections that you made in the outliner

  2. try pressing "/" on your keyboard with an object selected, this will toggle/untoggle local view

  3. check your clip start/end distance (press N, go to view tab, decrease the clip start number and/or increase the clip end number)
