I am currently trying to get every game object have a position related to the origin in order to have pathfinding work on our tile set.

The issue is that the script we are using is causing some major issues:

  1. Only specific objects are being selected.

  2. The objects when placed into Unity have issues in terms of how they fit with one another.

Below is my issue step by step:

  1. Select all objects:

Our Map, each tile is separated from the icosphere

  1. Run a script that we use to give them all positions from origin:

  1. Once script is ran, certain game objects are not effected and the error does not appear in the console. Furthermore, the objects affected by the script have strange origins / center points.

In the end, the result means that we are stuck in terms of developing the globe further and that even if this issue is not resolved, we get the following in Unity:

There are spaces between game objects

Any help for these mirriad of issues is much appreciated from anyone in the community.

Thank you for any help.

  • $\begingroup$ The system console can be accessed by going into window > Toggle system console (It's different from the blender console - it could be more clear). You can paste the error here for debugging $\endgroup$ – Gorgious Jun 19 at 9:09
