I've viewed multiple sites and done many searches but I can't find a relevant answer. Please answer if you know how. It works for render, I just want to know how to change it for the viewport.

  • $\begingroup$ Hello and welcome :). Do you mean the background in the 3D viewport? Or the background in renders? $\endgroup$ – Jachym Michal Jan 21 at 17:43

It's a bit buried in submenus, but don't worry.

Open Preferences
Edit > Preferences > Themes > 3D View

enter image description here

Theme Space > Gradient Colors > Gradient High/Off

The background for the 3D vieport can be set in the user preferences > Themes > 3D view > Theme Space > Gradient Colors > Gradient High/Off
