So basically I created a scene with multiple mountains, trees, water bodies, etc and the camera goes through them(in blender).

I need to replicate this in after effects and that's where I'm having trouble.I'm having doubts regarding the workflow required.

Here's what i did:

I went ahead and exported PNG's from blender (of each asset) and imported them in AE and tried recreating it with AE's 3d tools. For some png's (like the ground, and some water bodies), i had to rotate it 270d to make it flat and what not.

It looks very plastic-y now and the whole '3d' element is lost. In some cases, I had to stretch the elements to fit it in the screen and the beauty is completely lost. (If u can see the pics below, i stretched the water (in the 2nd picture ) to fit it on the screen)

what i made it 3d

what i made it 3d

what it looks like in AE

what it looks like in AE

$\begingroup$ Can you please describe the actual problem you're trying to solve? Currently it sounds quite a bit like a XY problem. Why can't you directly use the render or 3D model created in Blender? $\endgroup$ – Robert Gützkow Dec 11 '19 at 15:44
