I have no idea why, but this keeps happening to my renders, most of the time, when volumetric lighting is involved, sometimes not. But is there any way to fix it?

This usually happens when some objects are only hidden in viewport.

Click the camera icon to control visibility in render.
The eye icon controls visibility in viewport.

If you only disable object in viewport, it will still render.
You need to disable both.

These are sometimes called fire flies. This can be eliminated by setting the "clamp indirect"value to 1, found in the "sampling" section in the "render" tab.

  • $\begingroup$ I don't think OP is asking about fireflies, but hidden objects. $\endgroup$ – Luciano Dec 9 '19 at 13:54

$\begingroup$ Fireflies are significantly smaller, I would hate to find a firefly that big! $\endgroup$ – Moog Dec 9 '19 at 14:45
  • $\begingroup$ @Moog maybe it's just a different type of firefly that you haven't seen before firefly.org/types-of-fireflies.html $\endgroup$ – Luciano Dec 9 '19 at 15:10
  • $\begingroup$ Its possible its a mutation. $\endgroup$ – Franck Louis Dec 9 '19 at 15:27
