From many tutorials I heard that modeling and whole scene should be done in real measurements and scale. But when I model relatively small object (the default cube seems pretty big in meny situations) like up to 10 cm, the EEVEE render engine seems not to work properly. Elements like shadows and ,especially, volumetrics start to work fine only on relatively big object. I see a lot of primitive triangular, jagged and "diluted" shapes instead, sometimes not accurate shadows (even if i try to customize options) in these areas when using eevee with small objects. This is even more pronounced when I just move in the viewport (refreshing). If I make things bigger in size the resolution and detail of generated volumetrics or shadows are much better and more precise. Why is that and what is the solution?

In following examples I only change size of object. small cube

Medium cube

Big cube
