I have just completed the mesh for a game character I am making. She wears a bikini simply because it was easy to make as separate meshes by extracting a mash in sculpter mode and then shrinkwrap and combine into a single mesh with Boolean modifier.

My final addition is curve based hair. I am very happy with the results but I have some concerns that make me nervous about wasting my time.

I cant shrinkwrap the hair to the scalp of the character because it messes the hair up but I want a single mesh. If I use boolean union that fine but only a fairly small amount of the hair touches the scalp of the character so there is going to be some space between the inside of the hair and the surface of the scalp.

Is this going to case me a lot of problems unwraping and baking normal-maps?

Is this generally an issue I need to worry about?
