I've been running into difficulty baking normal maps for an enemy intended for my UE4 third person shooter project; ShooterMook1. The model uses 5 different PBR materials, and a combination of 1024 and 2k images. To cut down on system demands I'm trying to bake the textures together, and was successful with the diffuse maps, but for whatever reason the normal maps are encountering errors while baking. Before/After The gas mask on the left is the original with 2 PBR materials. The gas mask on the right was the result of attempting to bake the normal maps. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Set your normal map image texture to non-color data in the node editor, it looks like Blender interpret it as sRGB data which is wrong for normals. This is a very common mistake when baking. Let me know if that fixes it since it could be something else.

The hose came out alright, it looks identical to the original, but the black rubber portion of the gas mask is still featureless, along with the gloves and boots. It's not the resolution, either; I tried baking a 2k image for the normals map and encountered the same result; the grey hose is fine but the mask, gloves, and boots are featureless. $\endgroup$ – TriangleMaker Oct 11 at 16:10
