I have searched everywhere for this very simple tutorial and I can’t find anything. What I am trying to do is quite simple, I want to have my logo come in off screen, then stop at the middle of the screen then scale up very large (and possible rotate as well).

This all should be simple enough, but it seems like I’m doing something wrong when adding keyframes to the transform tool.

So first I add the image, then I add a transform effect to the image. I then go to frame number 1 and adjust the offset so that the logo is off screen, I also click the diamond next to the offset (I think this adds a keyframe?).

I then move to a later from (ex frame 100) and offset the logo to the center of the screen with the offset and again I hit the diamond next to the offset. This is only moving it for that one frame. How do I make it animate all of the frames in between (it’s not doing that currently)? There really are no good tutorials on how to animate an image transform in VSE with Blender.

Next I will need to scale up the logo with another transform animation.

  • $\begingroup$ When ever I needed this functionality I would enable "Images a Plane" plugin and the with an Orthographic camera animate the plane in the 3D scene and then add that as a Scene Strip in VSE. You can have multiple scenes. $\endgroup$ – rob Sep 25 '19 at 16:41
