I am learning Blender 2.8 and one thing I found is when I try to move an object off the viewport, it does not move around in the direction I am going. So I have to stop zoom out, and then move again.

Is there anyway to zoom/pan in/out/around while moving an object?

  • $\begingroup$ Not sure what you are asking, but always fallback on the Home key on the keyboard to recenter your view to what ever is selected. Shift +middle mouse will allow you to Pan the viewport. and by default the middle mouse will rotate about the cursor not the object. You can change that in the properties -> view lock to Lock to Camera view or Lock to Object. $\endgroup$ – rob Sep 23 '19 at 11:39
