I'm new to Blender. I've looked through previous questions and other forums, YouTube videos, and tutorials. I've spent close to two full days trying to figure this out. It's probably a simple problem for someone who's not new to Blender. I'm trying to figure out how to join together two spiral shapes I made from the "Add Modification", "Screw" tool.

I'd like to join the spirals with a ribbon shape stretching between the two spirals that matches the ribbon shape that makes up the spirals. I want to extend the bottom ribbon from one of the spirals to mate up with the top ribbon from the other spiral. That means I need to straighten/extend the ribbon on the bottom of the first spiral and continue the curve and extend the ribbon on the top of the second spiral.

Three pictures are attached with three different views of the two spirals I'm trying to join together.

Thanks in advance!
