I have many meshes that have overlaps, some overlap themselves and some overlap others.

I think I may be able to get rid of the overlap on two different meshes using the knife tool as a cooky cutter, but I don't know how to get rid of overlap where mesh1 overlaps itself.

Ideally it would be great if there was a was to do both in a batched way, but I would be happy to just have a way of getting rid of overlap on the same mesh for starters.

I've tried all of the settings I can see with the snapping option, for vertex, face, and face, and I can't get the edges or vertices to line up. I would be happy to install a seperate plugin to help remove overlap on same mesh if anyone knows of anything out there?enter image description here

Remesh leaves me with no mesh, even if I set the octree depth high.

I had a go with the Bool Tool add-on, and the only option that didn't make my mesh disappear was Union. Unfortunately this didn't help, it got close by creating one vert I could merge to on one side, but not on the other.
