So I developed a workflow when I would work in Modo where I'd set up my smoothing groups (or hard and soft edges) with real quick hotkeys, and set up all the smoothing I needed, real nice. Then, when it came time to UV, I could click a button, and wherever there was a smoothing split, a seam would automatically be added. From there, I could continue to UV by hand if necessary and readjust the components of my model.

Is there a good way to do that in Blender as well? Or at least some sort of addons that makes it possible to create seams by smoothing splits?
