# Traceback error code while animating in 2.8 2d aimation

I was animating in blender 2.8, I was using the 2D animation default features. Im fairly new to blender, and don't know what this error code means, has anyone else ever had this error?

I searched a while trying to find someone else's question first but cant seem to locate someone else whose had this issue

Heres the code

traceback (most recent call it last):
File"C:\Program files\Blender foundation\2.80\scripts\startup\bl_operators\wm.py", line 348, in execute if context_path_validate(base, data_path) is ellipsis:
File"C:\Program files\Blender foundation\2.80\scripts\startup\bl_operators\wm.py", line 83, in context_path_validate value = eval("context.%5" % data_path) if data_path else ellipsis
File "<string>", line 1
context.(null).shading.show_xray

SyntaxError: invalid syntax

Pardon any errors in the code I had to type it out by hand because it wouldn't let me copy it.

This is all 2d animation FYI

It happens when I try and use edit mode to and select, when i try and move frames on the dope sheet, try and add music via video sequencer. I tried resetting it to default settings and it appeared to fix it at first, only for it to come back and now it doesn't go away when I reset to default.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, I'm uncertain of what to try next.
