As I am aware there is a couple methods to add Ambient Occlusion (AO) to scene/object, via Input>Ambient occlusion in shader editor it adds a AO to objects using that material, another way is to simply enable it in World tab and you have factor and distance slider to control it and it adds AO to whole scene and last that I am aware of is in Compositor if you enable AO in "Render pases". My question is: what would be a fastest method to add AO to whole scene, is there noticeable difference in render time in some methods and what gives best results?

I know that adding to whole scene via Shader editor would be tedious especially where there is a lot of materials so maybe rule that one out right now. I prefer adding AO in Compositor since I can change it to whatever I want without re rendering whole scene.
