For example, If I set my particle's lifespan to 100 frames and then read particle age using either the Point Density or Particle Info nodes, what value should I divide by in a Math Node so that once the particle has reached its lifespan (of 100 frames), the ratio between particle age and particle lifespan will be one.

The unit doesn't seem to be frames.

  • $\begingroup$ age and lifetime should be in frames. It is common to divide age over lifetime to get a percentage which fits with most fac node inputs. $\endgroup$ – sambler Jul 17 '19 at 11:12
