I am working on a project in which I want to make python scripts to animate a character in blender, so that those scripts can be run for any character having similar topology.

Normally, when animating a character blender makes a separate animation file(shown in the Outliner). I wanted to know if this animation file actually contains the python commands that are involved in the animation(like the ones that show up in info editor).

If that is the way it is, then can i extract this animation file ?

If not, then is there some simpler method to animate a character with some precise and complex movements using python scripts ?
