I have a large amount of objects (more than 300) that I need to hide mid animation (meaning using keyframes). I could go through one by one toggling visibility and keyframing it, but I have too many objects for that to be a practical solution.

How can I get around this? I know objects can be group and all the objects can hidden with one button, but it cannot be keyframed. Is there perhaps a different way to group objects or somthing?

Thanks for any help.

Edit: I am using blender v2.79 (Cycles render).
