When I render my project I get this weird black shading at the back side of the model; the event only occurs in render. Using the loop cut tool does reduce this effect but not entirely and still produces this effect.

I don't believe this is an issue with the mesh as the shading "glitch" only occurs depending on which direction the camera is positioned. This can get annoying as when rendering a simple camera animation, the effect will be visible and spoil the model I'm presenting. QR ICE Render 02 Original

  • $\begingroup$ Does object have material, probably with normal map? What does node tree look like if any? What does mesh topology look like? Shading artifacts can be caused by issues with mesh even if they are shown on certain angles, z-fighting is one of examples of that. $\endgroup$ – Mr Zak Apr 21 at 12:52
