I´m new in Blender and this is my first post and Question on this side. In Blender 2.8 I have a Problem with Armatures. When I add a simple Bone, I see the Bone, and 2 Spheres. But it is not one Element. The Root is on the 3D-Cursor, the Bone-Element shows on z-axis down. The Tipp-Shere is on the z-axis at Blenderunit 1. How can I solve this? Thanks for your help! Ruppig
Do you have any screenshots. - it might just be that you're really confused, when adding a bone, you add a bone to the center of the cursor, you then move it to where you want it to be, and you then parent the bones and the mesh together.
from your description it sounds right.
Everything is OK, no need to solve it. The spheres, called Head and Tail, are like joints in your skeleton, with Head joining Tail in Edit mode. And what you described goes for Edit Mode. In Object mode a bone is one object. Read https://docs.blender.org/manual/en/dev/rigging/index.html on rigging for more info.
Now that I can see the screenshot, delete one of the armatures as outliner says you have two.
