This question already has an answer here:

expert Blenderers; I'm a Sketch Up user and I've been curious with Blender for quite some time now. I've always like the ease of use with sketchup even though I have issues with it not being able to handle large files but today I am officially quiting Sketchup because of their new subscription business model.

I have a MAC Pro, (early 2009) running OSX, El Capitan version 10.11.6. I purchased a Thea Stand Alone renderer and I downloaded the Blender Add On. Here's are my specific issues; I opened up Blender, navigated to the files/user preferences/add on. The add on files were not compressed so I clicked on "install add-on from file..." 1.) Can't find a file or the right file to install, 2.) Can't find Thea add-on in the lists.

I tried to find tutorials or some answers for this but I'm left scratching my head. Any help from the masters? Thanks, I appreciate it!

  • $\begingroup$ You should be able to follow the linked answer but use the whole zip file you download, not a particular python file. $\endgroup$ – Sazerac Feb 7 at 23:55
