I am trying to combine the textures I am using to one single texture by using this method- Possible to bake texture to new UV map?

I am using blender 2.79

the mesh im working with has 5 different materials on it. The Materials

Other objects in the scene had the same materials until i changed them to be their own (which didnt help).

After baking again, three of the materials showed up on the new image, The Baked Image

but the other two became their own images. Unwated Texture BakeSecond Unwated Texture Bake

For some reasons these new images share their name with a preexisting image i was using and change multiple materials. When i go back to the image nodes to reselect the original image i was using it shows up in blender with a different name then the one it has outside of blender.

Originalnames Fakenames

After baking the image using the emit bake in blender 2.79 the other objects look like this Changed Materials again to which i switch back to the original image

i would like to bake a new texture image where all 5 materials are on it without making more images and messing up already existing materials. Pls let me know if you need more information.
