I am having a hard time understanding free bake in blender. I tried looking up detailed tutorials online and couldn't fine anything. I have a simple scene with active rigid bodies that interact with a passive rigid body. I ran 'Bake to keyframe' initially to 200 frames. Then when I tried 'Free bake', I still see the msg '200 frames in memory' in the cache panel. I tried changing the rigid bodies transformation and updating the keyframe on the main timeline to 100 and running 'Bake' from the cache panel, but I still '200 frames in memory'. Why is the message not updated to '100 frames in memory'? Here is the file I am working with. A short gif explanation would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
