This question already has an answer here:

I am running Blender 2.79 on Windows 7. My machine comes with 4GB RAM, Intel Core i5 (2.something GHz) and a dedicated NVIDIA GeForce 525M. I enabled it in Blender, and I now have GPU Compute as the main option. I selected GPU as my render processor, but I only get one thread. I noticed a "Fixed thread" thing in performance in the properties panel. I tried clicking that and increasing it, but I still have only one thread!

Is there any way to fix this? I'd like my renders to be faster if possible.
