as I used to to see and get from people using blender a lot of them say that big amount of Max bounces in light paths it makes the rendering slow , but in my last project I was having a problem with the lighting , so the only thing that helped me light up the scene the way I wanted is by giving Max bounces bigger amount and the more I give it the more it took less time to render , Is this a improvement on the new 2.8 version or there is something I lost as a quality doing that which I can't see , any idea ?

Thanks
