When I try to change my Cycles Compute Device to CUDA in user preferences I continue to get CUDA rendering errors. This happens in my "rendered" viewport and when I try to render an image.

The exact error is:

Mem: 4050.16m / Cancel / CUDA error: Out of memory in cuArraCreat(&handle, &desc), line 783

PC specs:

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6900K CPU @ 3.20GHz
Graphics cards: 2x NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 Ti
Memory: 64.0 GB (63.8 GB usable)
Windows 10 Pro
System Type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

$\begingroup$ Hi and welcome to Blender Stack Exchange. Please use the search function before asking. Also note that you might want to add which Blender version you are actually using. Some info about your scene would be helpful, too. $\endgroup$ – metaphor_set Jan 6 at 3:50
