I've been struggling with this problem for a while now.

When I add inverse kinematics to my quadruped animal's front legs and try moving them in posing mode, the entire leg warps out of place and goes either inwards or outwards. It looks really weird, especially with the armature parented to the mesh.

Upper bones warping out of place when the inverse kinematics target bone is moved

I've tried messing with poles, inverse kinematics chain length, iterations, target bones etc etc, but nothing seems to fix the issue.
