I'm new to Blender. I've been asked to construct some 3D models of some bent pipes(see screenshot). How do I add further pipe to the ends of this pipe? It needs to be about five or six times longer than this with a lot of vertices to allow for fine control of the bends. Is there a way of specifying the number of vertices and the length of the object when it is created? The pipe needs to be straight in between each bend, much like an unfolded paperclip.

Thanks for any tips and help! : )

$\begingroup$ you can either add vertices inside the existing curve selecting the 2 vertices and pressing W > Subdivide, or extrude one of the vertices, selecting it and pressing E... is it what you want? $\endgroup$ – moonboots Dec 17 '18 at 17:10
