I am playing with the eevee render, and I am struggling on how to render projected shadows from objects textured with alpha channel.

Here is a reference render on cycles on what I want to achieve.

And here is my result on Eevee

My texture is pretty simple. enter image description here

And I have turned on the shadow checkboxes on both the light panel

And my render panel

I am using the 2.80 A build from 2018-11-23

Can this type of shadows be rendered at all?

$\begingroup$ too early to ask such a question, as Blender2.8 is not even in Beta stadium. When a first release candidate comes out, we can safely start to consider answering, for now too many things are unstable / unfinished / undefined. Regarding your question, see devtalk.blender.org/t/… $\endgroup$ – aliasguru Nov 26 '18 at 10:53

You have to change some of the material's options :

It works for me with Blend mode to alpha blend, and transparent shadow to clip.
