I'm writing a simple script that has to iterate over triangular faces of mesh (not n-gon polygons). I need to access theire data (vertices, edges, material indexes) Basically I'm doing it like this:

  • Create a BMesh from mesh
  • Triangulate BMesh
  • Iterate over BMesh MeshLoops
  • Delete duplicated entries, (some vertices are shared)

It is complex, but I cannot find a better way to gather triangles from mesh anywhere in the documentation. Is there some better way to iterate over triangulated mesh, gather and gather stuff like face vertices in more "automatic" way?
